Description
My drawing of the Autumn Daisies (see my artwork) was the inspiration for this silk weave and so I have used similar colours and patterns taken from my art creation.
I am guided by my drawing to develop and lead my designs further to create my woven textile. All of the silk threads that I have used in my woven piece have been hand dyed to emulate the colours in my drawing. This weave also has further deep burgundy reds, maroon yarn loosely woven in a checkerboard style to symbolise the many petals of the daisy, and different tones that can be found in them. I have used sap green and lime colour threads in the weft too that hold the pink tones together and give a zingy freshness to the weave.
My hand-woven textile would make an original and unique wall artwork for your home or a beautiful distinctive gift for your loved ones and textile lovers alike.
It is enclosed securely within two sheets of glass to protect it from dust, then professionally framed using a painted white solid wood frame and has a secure metal hanging mechanism on the back.
